You have done a wonderful job. What a great page. And the links... I was amazed at the resemblence your grandmother Edna Julia Allen has to Vivian Leigh. Keep up the good work.
Gloria Sartin - 12/15/00 23:35:31
Great site. I'm becoming more interested in home remedies, cleaners, diet, etc. daily. You have some simple recipes to concoct that doesn't take a chemical engineer or Sherlock Holmes to find the ingredients. Thanks

I too am looking at a more vegetarian lifestyle after raising a couple of cows (just like big dogs), can't believe people say they are the dumbest animal around, can't and don't believe it, seen it myself. anyway I love all your animals too past and present. May all of you have wonderful and healthy lives. Debbie Indiana

After two hours of slugging through useless information in other sites, I am very, VERY happy to have found yours! The natual cleaners and the kitchen cosmetics were my original interest, but I will be back to investigate your geneology section as I am a second generation Irish/Scot cross with a love of all things Celtic! Thanks!
Calvin - 09/11/00 17:40:26
I came to this site because of my interest with safe cleaning alternatives. However, to my surprise many items on your page are exact to what I believe and study (ie. genealogy, veganism, ...). You have and are doing great things with your website, keep i up. Thanks!

Dear Loretta, Thank you for your homemade receipes. I have tried the cormeal cleanser and the toothpowder, which were easy to make and have actually enjoyed making and using. Your sight is one of my favorites! Thanks, Erfe Family

I found your website via a link on the Kitchen Cosmetics page and I spent quite a lot of time looking around. I even clicked on the grandchildren link. Beautiful. Keep up the good work - lots of good natural recipes.
Alan Thomas - 08/03/00 11:58:01
Hi Loretta, you've done a terrific job with your web site, looks great. Just happened on it looking for Donnelly genaealogy - my mum's maiden name. Don't think I can tie it to yours though. Earliest Donnellys I've got arrived here in England in 1849, flee ng the potato famine presumably. Never mind. All the best from one veggie to another :-)
Cindy Hadden - 08/01/00 06:59:57
Hello! Wow! You have a lot of great recipes on your sites! I am teaching a 1x class at our local park and rec. facility on spa recipes from your kitchen. I was looking for new info and found your Kitchen Cosmetics site. Then I found my way to Loretta's page. You must be a very creative, and very busy person. I do too much myself and have a great time doing it! I teach several different classes from gift-wrapping to fun parenting to balloon sculpting. Sometimes I wish I could change my name in the brochure or each of my classes because I wonder if people may think I try to do to much and may not do anything well. Looks like you do more than me and I bet you do it all very well! I like meeting people who try lots of things and are constantly learning! You seem to be that kind of person, so seeing your site and your variety of interests made me smile. Nice to know you! Thanks for the recipes, I will certainly share your sites with my class. Keep up the good work! Cheerfully, Cindy Hadden
Bev Sadler - 07/31/00 01:00:14
My husband's family were born and raised in Pella, Iowa and mine in Monroe County, Iowa. I am researching Sadler, Doedyns, Haze, Cleair/Clair, Day, Spencer, and Roberts. One of my brick walls is Doedyns. The family came from Holland to Pella in 1847, b t the father had died in Holland and the mother remarried, then the mother died inroute to Am. and upon reaching Baltimore, the stepfather deserted the children. I can not find the parents name, or the place they came from in Holland.

I really enjoyed looking at your photos of your family, you're very beautiful and look like your paternal grandmother, she was quite a looker too. I did notice that it took awhile for the photos to download and that some of the links didn't get through such as The Just for fun International Blacksheep Group,I thought that was an interesting site to place on the page. We have a few of those on the Weston side of the family,to include someone recently.but he's not a Weston it's the 3rd removed cousin to my husband. Well,I enjoyed your page,I just love looking at pictures. I don't have a website yet,in the process of moving back to Ohio, but I do have alot of photos on the Cass County page in Illinois that family members have donated to me and I sent them to the Cass County coordinator to post for her page.I think it's a nic addition, especially when it's such alittle town and everyone practically married into each others families back then. Ginger

Was probably here before a while ago and put it on the favorites list, found again today. Neat site! Looking for ancestors or connections to James Patrick Donnelly b 1852 in Glasgow, Scotland whose parents were listed as born in Ireland on the census for Phila. PA where he settled and died. Also for Bernard J. McGarvey his father-in-law who may hav been married to a McLaughlin (?sp) and whose last (only!) record was a cemetery plot purchase wherein he is NOT buried. Thanks, Nancy

Thank you for this info! I've been studying the affects and effective use of natural cleansers, and etc., for the last 3 years! I have Atopic Dermititis, and cannot personally use chemicals; I think that, also, with the kids getting hi off of inhalants, and household cleaners, that the use of natural cleaners, are a must! Thank you, Loretta! Jan Cash, Covington, GA

Thanks so much for the Clean and Green cleaning recipes. I've used the baking soda on a stubborn stain left by a former hair-dye user who apparently dyed her hair in a shower that has a fiberglass floor. Thought I'd NEVER get that out! I darn nearly burned out my lungs Christmas Eve cleaning with bleach and Clorox Clean Up. That's what sent me searching for a alternatives. Your grandchildren are just beautiful!

But having said all that - couldn't find a clue. That's why I stopped - stayed because the site is impressive. Lots of info. Thanks, K.R. Schafer

Most informative but I had a very difficult time reading the light green print-in fact couldn't read half of it. Could the info. be redone in Black? change the mottled background as it makes reading that much more difficult. I could do without the beaut in exchange foe clarity.

Loretta, Enjoying your website. I am still haven't finished looking at all of the subsites, but am fascinated by your interests, grandchildren (I am 58 and have two grandsons), Irish background, love for genealogy, interested in the environment (work at n environmental testing lab) and am trying to track long lost relatives last known to be in Philadelphia, PA. My father, Millard F. Steele, Jr. was born in Washington, D.C. on 10/12/16 to Catherine Steiren and Millard F. Steele, Sr. His parents, stayed ith Millard Sr.'s parents, George M. Steele, Sr. and his wife, Georgie. When my father was around a year old, his parents separated and my grandmother came back to St. Paul, MN with my father. He grew up in St. Paul, never knowing his father who died wh n he was around 10 yrs. old. His grandfather wrote to him from time to time. I have a legal document dated 7/28/30, where my father received a small amount of money from his grandmother's estate. At the time, his grandfather was then living at 5605 McMah n Avenue, Philadelphia, PA. He was survived by three other children, Marie F. Steele Stauffer and Elsie C. Steele Roche, also living in Philadelphia and his remaining son, George M. Steele, Jr. at that time living in New York, NY. The law firm, as far a I know, does not exist today. They were George C. Gertman, Washington Loan & Trust Bldg., Washington, D.C. This is a whole side of my family that has been missing all of my life, and I would really like to see if any of my Steele relatives (aunts, uncles, and cousins) are still alive. With your knowledge of Pennsylvania, possibly some of this might mean somet ing to you. I would appreciate any help given and would try to reciprocate in any way I can. Would you like to have your water tested? Thanks in advance. Roxanne

My husband is named Michael Patrick, our children are Bridget and Michael, and my husband's siblings are Mary and Sean. :) I've bookmarked your site and will be back for another visit when I have more time to play around. I'm searching for a Catherine Wallace who worked as a stenographer in Pittsburgh in the early 1930s. In 1932, she listed her age as 29. My father (deceased) was born to her that year. Circumstances forced her to give him up for adoption later that year. Our family would love to know her, or about her, or any other children she may have had.
Joe Morris - 01/11/98 23:50:40
Hi, Just thought I would visit your web site after you passed the comment on another site that the only people to visit your site are friends and relations. You have had over 1600 visits so you have not done too bad. I live in Portsmouth, England and like you spend a fair bit of time reseaching my ancestors, mainly my surname of Morris. The odds of finding someone on the Net who is related must be higher than wining the Lottery but you never know. An American relative who I never knew existed, contacted me a couple of years ago so you never know what is out there. Nice site you have, keep it up. Joe Morris.
