McGuigan Genealogy: Part 1

168 Roman Catholic Baptismal Records for Part of County Tyrone, Ireland


In 1986 I wrote to Ireland to try to obtain the Roman Catholic baptismal records of my McGuigan ancestors. I requested a computer printout of all persons by that last name who were baptized in County Tyrone. This printout did not include the entire county of Tyrone but only those parishes which are under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Armagh. I received some of my own families baptismal records and of course, others, who I can find no connection to, perhaps they are your McGuigans from Tyrone? I have listed them alphabetically by the fathers first name, in chronological order of birth into that fathers family. See the bottom of this page for the address I wrote to for these baptismal records.

The above will yield a computer print out of every person baptised by a last name in a locality of your choice. This pertains to the above Armagh address, I have no prices on the Dublin or Belfast addresses. At the time I was told that marriages had not yet been input into the Armagh computer database but this may have been accomplished by now.
